CSI # 53 After Rain and featured international artist at Scrap n'Art

I am slowling getting sorted with my new due dates and creating for weeks behind the scenes before posting several pages all at one time instead of posting twice weekly. I will let you know at the end of each blog post when I will be posting again next time.

Aaaanyhow, today I'll share my page for Color..Stories..Inspiration case file nbr 53. A lovely and soft spring palette of colours.

 And the beautiful printable coordinates that our Michele Singh has created for us;

The deadline for completing Case File No. 53

is Sunday, January 13, 11:59 p.m. EST.

Thus, you have a week plus the two weekends to complete your layout.

(See count-down timer on the right-hand sidebar of most pages.)

We can't wait to see what YOU create!

And here is my take that I've called "After Rain";

The backing paper is by Swedish Maja Design, as are the fussy-cut tea pot and tea cups. The rest is Prima Fairybelle.

The soft colours of the palette remind me of lupins and cherry blossoms on a spring day just after it has rained. The petals and leaves glisten with the raindrops, looks like a fairy has sprinkled diamonds on them. So this time my journalling has no other bearing that prettiness and the scent of flowers after a mild spring shower leving everything dewy and fresh.

The pale yellow-green was a tricky one, I used some bling that had almost the right colour.

Fussy cut lavendar blooms from a paper from Maja Design layered with some Prima sweetness.

The evidence I used are flowers, tea cup accents, scallops (the journalling cards), texture paste and fabric, or to be correct, lace.

And that's it, nothing lengthy or overly complicated this time. I just wanted to make something pretty.
